When I started writing the book, I had no goal or defined purpose in mind. I only wanted to expand on the essay, My Religion Story. Initially, I had no intention of trying to convince anyone of anything. I only wanted to share my personal experiences, observations and conclusions. However, the more I wrote and the deeper I reflected on my life’s journey, the more defined the focus and the clearer the goals and purpose of the book became. The following could be seen as the main reasons for and message of FAITH: FULL CIRCLE:

  • I have a compelling and illuminating story to share; it’s very personal, vulnerably honest, and addresses a cardinal issue. It combines real-life experiences with undisputed scientific realities.
  • I want to be a source of comfort for the many questioning minds out there as they wonder about the actual status of the rational God of the Bible and the eternal truths proclaimed in it.
  • I want to help people escape religious indoctrination and apathy and to start thinking for themselves. Maybe even help to confront irreconcilables in their faith-based insights and make amendments, where necessary.
  • I want people to discover and learn more about the real and incredible wonder of life on our “pale blue dot” (ala Carl Sagan).
  • I am trying to give short answers to the big questions in life, e.g.
    • Where does life on Earth come from, and where will it go?
    • Where do you come from, and where are you going to?
