The themes from the message of FAITH: FULL CIRCLE crystallised as I completed the book. The feedback, comments and questions I have received since publishing the book’s first edition have led to considerable reflection and discussions on ATHEISM. I have realised that in many people’s minds, the word ATHEIST is a synonym for the word VIRUS and something to avoid.
As a result, I have become interested in engaging in discussions to explain and show that ATHEISM is not a virus but a harmless and more pragmatic way of looking at life. A substantially more modern, intellectual, rational and objective manner of evaluating the meaning and purpose of life on this planet and wherever else it may exist in the universe.
It would also be interesting to explore and discuss the following themes:
- Agnosticism vs atheism
- Religion vs spirituality and
- Morals and ethics in a rational and modern world.
From my Dedication Page, you will realise that I am ready to receive and accept whatever comments and reactions my book elicits.
I invite you to sign up below for my emailer, where I provide various insights and inspiration on atheism and answer questions on living a more fulfilled life free from religion.

Congratulations Bruwer. You have now entered a Brave New World full of exiting new ideas to explore.
From personal experience I know how difficult the Afrikaner Society made it for us to get this far. When we ended up in New Zealand I was very surprised to find a huge ex-South African contingent over here, but alas, they have brought everything that was bad with them to NZ. What I find fascinating is that people tend to flock to religion whenever things are going belly-up, in the false belief that their god will take care of their predicament; ironically the self same god that got them there in the first place. Sela.

Hennie, It has been a long and winding road. I remember 25 and more years ago, and you just shook your head when I was trying to convince all and sundry around me about the merits of being a born-again Christian. We never really argued about it, maybe because you knew that common sense, brought forth by knowledge and rationality, will eventually prevail over me. I thank you for that.
My journey is becoming exciting, and I can confirm that I am losing friends fast and furiously, but only in South Africa, not Europe. However, at the same time, I am gaining interesting new friends who help to open up the understanding of where religion comes from and its role in our lives.
